Megahouse, a Japanese toy company, under its "Lucrea" series, which aims to "create and deliver charming items that shine beautifully like light," plans to release a series of new "Pretty Cure" themed products. The first to debut is the "Pretty Cure Black & Pretty Cure White" non-scale pre-painted figure from the original "Pretty Cure" series, with a suggested retail price of 33,000 JPY, scheduled for release in late January 2025!
The first generation of "Pretty Cure" (Futari wa Pretty Cure), produced by Toei Animation in 2004, tells the story of Misumi Nagisa, who is good at sports and has a lively personality, and Yukishiro Honoka, who excels academically but is a bit of a airhead. One day, these two girls with completely different personalities encounter the mysterious magical creatures Mepple and Mipple, and are granted the power to transform into Pretty Cures, becoming embroiled in the conflict between the Garden of Light and the Dark Zone.
This "Pretty Cure Black & Pretty Cure White" non-scale pre-painted figure stands approximately 21.5 cm tall and is about 21 cm deep. It features the two characters in their battle outfits after transforming in the show, depicting Pretty Cure Black and Pretty Cure White holding hands and stepping forward on a rocky base. Details such as the lace and wrinkles on their two battle suits are meticulously sculpted, and the flowing hair dynamics make the overall appearance more vibrant and lively! The transformation devices extending from their palms faithfully recreate the designs engraved with Mepple and Mipple, respectively. The paintwork provides higher contrast between light and shadow for the vibrant colors, vividly restoring the images of Pretty Cure Black and Pretty Cure White from the series!
