Kotobukiya, the Japanese model manufacturer, in collaboration with illustrator Morikura En, has announced the latest product in their everyday bishojo plastic model kit series, "Sousai Shojo Teien," with the upcoming release of "Emi Nijimura [Reiho High School - Summer Uniform]," slated for March 2025.
The paparazzi reporter girl, Emi Nijimura, wearing a cat-eared newsboy cap, is always elusive, appearing out of nowhere on campus to capture her "exclusive scoops." She is one of the reporters for "Garden Journal," a free newspaper distributed among students. Despite her constant running around for interviews, which gives her a tired, sleep-deprived impression when she speaks, she is actually quite sharp. Before you know it, she's standing beside you, asking, "Boss~ It seems something interesting has happened, hasn't it~?"
"Emi Nijimura [Reiho High School - Summer Uniform]" utilizes numerous new parts to recreate Emi's distinctive appearance and character charm. Multi-color molded parts are used to reproduce characteristic costume accessories such as her cat-eared newsboy cap, camera, and backpack. The kit also allows for swapping between two camera lenses and two lengths of backpack straps. The sneaker parts come pre-painted, allowing for a significant recreation of the character's colors straight out of the box.
The accessories also include various interchangeable parts to express Emi's different emotions and actions, including three pre-painted facial expressions: "Smiling Face (Front-facing)," "Shutter Chance Face (Left-facing)," and "Laughing Face (Right-facing)," which faithfully reproduce her perpetually sleepy-looking eyes, slightly thick eyebrows, and cat-like mouth.
The upper body parts come with three interchangeable options: "Normal," "Left Shoulder Raised," and "Leaning Forward Pose," allowing for the recreation of Emi's poses as she presses the shutter and captures exclusive shots. The lower body includes four interchangeable skirts, accommodating states such as normal standing, sitting, skirt fluttering, and wide-stride photography. Furthermore, there are accessories such as 11 types of left and right hand parts and four types of front hair parts, which can be combined with the highly articulated main body to recreate a variety of scenes.
