Bandai Shokugan SMP New Sub-Series 'Storage Collection' Announced: Retro Monochromatic Molding, Unified Scale Recreates Classic Anime Robots!

The popular assembly model shokugan series 'SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT', released by BANDAI CANDY, the shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan, officially announced its brand-new sub-series 'Storage Collection' today. The first wave of products is scheduled for release in January 2025.

The 'SMP Storage Collection' series is a new product line that further simplifies past SMP releases. Each robot character is produced in a unified 80mm size with a basic standing pose, while also significantly reducing the number of parts to shorten assembly time. However, it omits the multiple molding colors and articulated joints found in regular SMP products. All parts of the mecha use monochromatic molding colors such as dark blue and off-white, with additional parts like weapons and pose-changing options only included in the EX versions sold exclusively on PREMIUM BANDAI.

The first wave of products features three classic anime robots: "Invincible Super Man Zambot 3," "Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3," and "Invincible Robot Trider G7." Each mecha is available in two versions: dark blue molded color and off-white molded color. The figures can be completed with just over 10 parts (no stickers included), and the overall texture resembles models included in old-school chocolate eggs, but with richer details.

The 'SMP Storage Collection EX', sold on PREMIUM BANDAI, includes all three standard version mecha, with the parts molded in silver. It also comes with exclusive expansion parts only available in the EX version, allowing for the recreation of each mecha's signature weaponry or classic poses for special attacks.
