Japan's Bandai Toy Company's Shokugan division, BANDAI CANDY, has a highly popular "Chiikawa" Shokugan product, the "Chiikawa: Something Small and Cute Doll" series. The announcement of its second wave in the first half of the year generated considerable excitement among fans. However, this product, originally slated for an August 2024 release, could not be launched as planned due to various reasons. BANDAI CANDY recently announced a second postponement, shifting the product's release to February 2025.

The "Chiikawa: Something Small and Cute Doll" series brings popular characters from "Chiikawa" to life in a compact size of approximately 4 cm tall. Not only does it faithfully reproduce the adorable designs and the distinctive brushstrokes of the facial features drawn by artist nagano, but the entire surface is also crafted using electrostatic flocking to create a soft, fuzzy, and gentle touch. Each doll comes with a dedicated base to display the characters' charming poses.

This second wave will feature Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi in dynamic jumping poses, offering designs distinct from the first wave. Simultaneously, it will introduce five exciting new characters: Otter, Shisa, Kuri Manju, Furuhon-ya, and That Child! (That Child, with its four legs, can stand independently and does not include a stand). However, since the product's initial announcement, only the supervised design of Chiikawa has been revealed, with images of the other characters yet to be unveiled.
