MACHINE BUILD "Mobile Fighter G Gundam Bud Carrier" Prototype Revealed!

Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE, known for its semi-finished model series "MACHINE BUILD" which recreates the internal structures of mobile suits, today showcased the latest prototype from "Mobile Fighter G Gundam", the "Bud Carrier", at the "MegaHobby EXPO 2024 past to the future" event. It is scheduled for release in March 2025.

In the series, the Bud Carrier (ブッドキャリアー), operated by Neo Japan, is a transport device for Mobile Fighters, designed in the shape of a lotus bud. Its internal space can accommodate one Mobile Fighter for maintenance, and it is equipped with high-output thrusters capable of independent atmospheric re-entry and underwater operation. When a Mobile Fighter launches, the carrier's external armor expands like a blooming flower.

The "Bud Carrier" is produced in a size close to 1/144 scale Gunpla, and can accommodate Gunpla of the same scale, such as the HGCF Shining Gundam, internally. It faithfully reproduces the top hatch, bottom thruster nozzle design, and the multi-layered external armor deployment mechanism. The prototype currently displayed at the venue is a pre-modification version; further adjustments will be made in the future to the position of the armor and hatch during deployment to more closely match the original design.
