BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS, home to the 122 S.H.Figuarts 2828 Action Figure brand, today revealed four new 214 Star Wars-themed products with updated specifications under its CineToy 1090 TAMASHII series, which focuses on film and television properties. Following up on that announcement, we're taking a closer look at the "Han Solo -Classic Ver.-" 2828 Action Figure from "Star Wars: A New Hope." Priced at 9,900 JPY, it's slated for release in March 2025.
In "Star Wars: A New Hope," Obi-Wan Kenobi and a young Luke Skywalker sought out the infamous smuggler Han Solo at the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine, hoping to secure passage to Alderaan. Solo then became serendipitously involved in the Rebel Alliance's mission to destroy the Death Star, where he developed a romance with Princess Leia.
This "Han Solo -Classic Ver.-" 2828 Action Figure stands approximately 15 cm tall. Compared to the 2017 release, this version features darker brown hair, a slightly yellowish shirt, and deeper blue pants. The most significant update is the newly sculpted face parts, which more vividly recreate actor Harrison Ford's youthful likeness at this smaller scale. It also includes a new smirk expression, perfect for capturing his roguish charm from the film, and can be posed with his blaster in classic stances!
