Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS' action figure brand "S.H.Figuarts" will release an action figure of "Myaku-Myaku" (ミャクミャク), the mascot of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo. The suggested retail price is 6,600 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in March 2025!
The 2025 World Expo, scheduled to be held in Osaka starting April 2025, unveiled its mascot design in 2022. The design was inspired by the Expo's official logo, which was announced in 2020, and Osaka's characteristic as the "City of Water." The name "Myaku-Myaku" was chosen from over 30,000 candidates, signifying the continuous "脈" (myaku, pulse/vein) connection of history, tradition, culture, and the world. While its mysterious appearance was initially disliked by netizens, it has gradually gained considerable popularity as promotional activities have progressed!
This S.H.Figuarts Myaku-Myaku stands approximately 13.5 cm tall. Its sculpt faithfully recreates the red on its head, symbolizing life and diversity, and the rounded shape of its body, symbolizing clear water. The smooth body has been articulated to create a highly poseable character model. It also includes interchangeable eye and tail parts to display a smiling expression. Whether standing, sitting, or lying down, no pose is too difficult for it, making its playful appearance absolutely adorable!
