2024 LEGO Bricktober "Brick Bites Series" Unboxing Report & Promotion Schedule! Exquisite Limited-Edition Stalls Await You Every Week

The annual gift-with-purchase event from the Danish toy company LEGO, "Bricktober," is now underway in Taiwan! Here at Toy People, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy this year's Bricktober series, themed "Brick Bites Series." In this unboxing report, we'll bring you all the details about the gift sets, sales information, schedule, and more. Let's dive in!

A portmanteau of "Brick" and "October," "Bricktober" is one of the most highly anticipated annual events for LEGO fans. Around October each year, LEGO schedules four gift-with-purchase periods, each featuring a different exclusive gift set for fans to collect.

This year's "Brick Bites Series" features a collection of delightful food stalls! The exquisite and compact one-person stall design, the large decorations on top, and the displays on the front counter are all incredibly charming. There are four types in total: the "Burger Stall," "Ice Cream Stall," "Popcorn Stall," and the "Bubble Tea Stall." Simply spend NT$2,800 on LEGO products at designated retailers to receive one for free. The schedule for each gift is as follows:

■ September 27 - October 4, 2024: Burger Stall
■ October 5 - October 11, 2024: Ice Cream Stall
■ October 12 - October 18, 2024: Popcorn Stall
■ October 19 - October 25, 2024: Bubble Tea Stall

▼ Now, let's get right into building these four LEGO sets!

▼ Each bag contains one instruction booklet and approximately 100 pieces.

▼ The base is a common element in every set. By the time you build the second one, you can start assembling it from memory, which is a little bit of fun I always enjoy with Bricktober models.

▼ The red-and-white checkered pattern creates a strong contrast with the black base.

▼ The construction of each stall is fundamentally similar, and they can all be roughly divided into two main units: the body and the roof.

▼ The back features transparent parts, allowing you to watch the employee's every move!

▼ Next, let's take a closer look at the details of each stall! Following the release schedule, we'll start with the Burger Stall~

▼ In addition to the giant burger on top, the front counter where customers are served features a ketchup bottle and a small 2x2 brick-built burger. The round smooth tile on top even has a white sesame seed print, which is absolutely adorable.

▼ The way the fillings of the rooftop burger are stacked is very interesting~

▼ The second set is the Ice Cream Stall. The white, blue, and pink color scheme of the stall itself gives off a cool and refreshing vibe at first glance!

▼ The Ice Cream Stall not only has the most items displayed on its front counter, but its employee is also the most bundled up! He's even wearing a winter hat.

▼ The brick-built ice cream cone, which I like more and more, also has a fun detail that looks like the ice cream is melting.

▼ The third set is the Popcorn Stall. Besides the giant popcorn box model on the roof, there are also printed popcorn tiles on the front counter and the front of the roof.

▼ The white and yellow parts used to create the popcorn shape are popular pieces often used as a three-scoop ice cream or combined to build smoke effects! Here, we've discovered a new use for them. The red-and-white striped box not only conveys the perfect impression but is also fun to build.

▼ The colors of the Popcorn Stall also match the base the best, creating a fantastic overall visual effect once completed.

▼ Finally, we have the stall most familiar to people in Taiwan, the Bubble Tea Stall! However, I personally think it would be even better if the blue shell of the large drink model on top were changed to a color more like actual milk tea.

▼ When I first saw the official pictures, I thought there was some special building technique for the pearls inside the bubble tea to make them look like they were floating. After getting the actual set, I realized it was just a promotional photo effect (lol). In reality, you just drop six black round bricks with axle holes inside. So, after closing it up and placing it on the roof, they mostly just clump together, which is a bit of a shame. If you have extra transparent parts, you could try modifying it.

▼ The front counter also has two drinks, and the front edge of the roof is decorated with cute printed fruit tiles, suggesting they also sell some fruit teas.

▼ It's worth mentioning that the minifigure's outfit for the Bubble Tea Stall is my favorite. The super-bright green cap and magenta pants, paired with a light blue and pink striped shirt, create an incredibly vibrant and eye-catching combination. Plus, the transparent goblet piece he's holding is not only beautiful but can also securely hold a 1x1 round plate.

▼ Here's a look at all four minifigures. The classic, timeless smiley face is an absolute favorite for old-school LEGO fans.

▼ In addition to the hats they wear, each stall also includes an extra hairpiece for more customization options, further increasing the versatility.

▼ This year's Bricktober "Brick Bites Series" not only includes the cute stall models but also comes with an additional small box, shaped like a burger box. It's printed with the features and names of each stall. Once you've built a stall, you can place it inside for a very cute display!

▼ The outer box features the minifigures and line art corresponding to the four featured foods of the stalls.

▼ After placing each stall into its burger box packaging, I instantly felt the need to photograph them against a solid-colored background!

▼ The designs on the two sides of the paper box are different!

▼ Here's another shot with the minifigures' hair swapped~ The classic smiley faces are just so adorable!
