Following Link and Ganondorf, the popular action figure series "figma", released by Japanese model maker Max Factory, today officially announced its latest product from "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom", "Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ver.", slated for release in August 2025.
"The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" continues the story of its predecessor, "Breath of the Wild," depicting a new adventure after the defeat of Calamity Ganon. Castle walls float into the sky, mysterious ruins descend from above, and the land of Hyrule undergoes cataclysmic changes due to Ganondorf's resurrection. Link is gravely wounded by the gloom, while Zelda unexpectedly travels through time back to the founding of the Hyrule Kingdom, encountering the Zonai King Rauru, the Hylian Queen Sonia, and others, and searching for the key to restoring the "Master Sword" to defeat Ganondorf.
The "figma Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ver." features an articulated design standing 15.5 cm tall, bringing to life her new short-haired appearance from the sequel and the Zonai attire she wears after traveling to the past. Through precise sculpting and rich color application, the Zonai patterns on her clothing are faithfully recreated. While figma's specialized joint parts allow for articulation in the upper body, the lower skirt portion does not have articulated divisions, which will impose significant limitations on leg movement.
Accessories include three interchangeable face plates: "Standard Face," "Closed-Eyes Face," and "Serious Face," along with various interchangeable hand parts. Also included are the meticulously sculpted and colored "Purah Pad" and the "Decayed Master Sword," allowing for the recreation of classic cutscene moments from the game.
