Japanese toy company MEGAHOUSE (メガハウス) announced yesterday (3rd) a commemorative product celebrating the 50th anniversary of the classic puzzle toy Rubik's Cube (ルービックキューブ): the "Ultimate Smallest Rubik's Cube -0.5cm Ultra-Precision Metal-"! Its mere 0.5 cm side length is also certified by Guinness World Records as the world's smallest! It is scheduled for release in April 2025, with a surprisingly high suggested retail price of 777,777 Japanese Yen.
This product is a collaboration between MEGAHOUSE and Japanese precision metal product manufacturer Iriso Precision (株式会社入曽精密). Utilizing Iriso Precision's expertise in precision cutting technology, they have created the smallest Rubik's Cube that can actually be rotated and played with, all within a 0.5 cm size! Each square is an astonishing 0.16 cm, coupled with a beautiful metallic luster and the engraved "RUBIK'S" lettering on the silver face, making it truly an ultimate masterpiece infused with the world's most advanced cutting craftsmanship!
