Max Factory, a Japanese model manufacturer, will release a new product in its popular articulated figure series 'figma': "figma Akira Satō" from the not-so-popular anime "The Fable". The suggested retail price is 9,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in August 2025!
"The Fable (ザ・ファブル)", a work by Japanese manga artist Katsuhisa Minami, tells the story of the legendary top assassin Fable, who began rigorous assassin training at the age of 6. Rumor has it that he can eliminate any enemy in 6 seconds, striking fear even into the underworld... However, under orders from his boss, he assumes the alias Akira Satō and, disguised as siblings with his partner Yoko Satō, moves to Osaka for a year to live a normal life where killing is forbidden.
The "figma Akira Satō" action figure stands approximately 15 cm tall and is sculpted in Akira Satō's black outfit worn during his assassin missions. Although entirely black, details such as the zipper and pockets on the hoodie are meticulously crafted, and realistic fabric textures are sculpted. It comes with three interchangeable face parts: a "normal face" with no expression, a "serious switch" face, and a "bursting laugh face" for when he sees his favorite comedian Jackall. Additionally, there's a "masked head" for missions, which allows for subtle emotional differences to be expressed through articulated eyeballs and adjustable gaze! Combine him with weapons like the "Nighthawk Custom" and a "knife," along with interchangeable hand parts, to recreate Akira in various situations!
