The 1/144 scale Gunpla 'HG (High Grade)' series, known for its diverse range of mobile suits and produced by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, today announced the confirmed commercialization of the main mobile suit from the VR film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom", the "HG 1/144 DELTA ZAYIN".
The story of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom" is set in Universal Century 0096. The unofficial mercenary organization Urgent・Kill, unaffiliated with either the Federation or Zeon, accepts a commission from the Federation Forces to assassinate a high-ranking official colluding with Zeon. However, just before deployment, they are attacked by a Federation Forces Jegan squad. In this chaotic situation, viewers can simulate the protagonist's perspective through a VR device, piloting Urgent・Kill's secretly held silver Gundam, the "DELTA ZAYIN", and personally participate in the unfolding events.
The silver-white Gundam "DELTA ZAYIN", now announced for commercialization, was originally the mobile suit MSN-001A1 Delta Plus provided by Anaheim Electronics to Urgent・Kill. However, due to a secret agreement, it could not be delivered with its original appearance. Therefore, both its model number and exterior were changed to "DZ-001 DELTA ZAYIN". Its head parts are derived from the "MSN-001X Delta Gundam Kai", and its exterior armor design comes from the "MSN-001 Delta Gundam", a phantom mobile suit whose development was frozen. It is also finished with the characteristic silver coating of Urgent・Kill's mobile suits.
