Bandai's GASHAPON division, under its Hugcot (ハグコット) cable protector series, will release the fourth installment of its latest product, "Hugcot Chiikawa 4" gashapon, featuring the popular anime "Chiikawa." There will be a total of six designs, with a reference price of 300 JPY per capsule, scheduled for release in October 2024.
Created by Japanese manga artist Nagano (ナガノ), "Chiikawa" tells the daily stories of the "Chiikawa tribe," mysterious creatures that are small and adorable. These little cuties earn their living by performing tasks such as weeding and subjugation; to improve their social standing, they must acquire more licenses and defeat more dangerous chimera to earn more money... While heartwarming, it also portrays the harsh realities of life, and their small figures striving to live evoke a strong sense of empathy.
The "Hugcot Chiikawa 4" gashapon features six characters: Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, Kurimanju, Rakkō, and Momonga! These popular characters from the series are transformed into protectors that can be attached to your phone charging cables, making it look as if the characters are playing and frolicking on the wires. Whether used individually or with a whole bunch crawling on the cable, they are incredibly cute~
