Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the eighth character product in its new original plastic model kit series, "Megalo Maria," with "Fuma" slated for release in February 2025.

The brand-new series "Megalo Maria" is Kotobukiya's first product where the vast majority of parts are manufactured domestically in Japan. Unlike previous plastic model kits featuring bishojo-style humans or mecha girls, this series adopts the "Marionette Style," a new body type with a humanoid puppet appearance that prioritizes "articulation" and "expressiveness." Its unique composite worldview is presented as a "play-within-a-play," connecting various plastic model kit series released by Kotobukiya, allowing for an infinite variety of play possibilities.

"Fuma" is a new ninja-themed character, utilizing the same articulated body as the first character, "Sword Dancer," and equipped with the newly designed "EX Armor Ninja Fox." She features characteristic cool styling such as a fox mask, fox ear head parts, and a red scarf, and is armed with arm claws, a short sword, kunai, and shuriken.

The "Marionette Style" body boasts approximately 50 points of articulation throughout, including highly flexible shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee joint designs that can replicate extremely fluid, human-like movements. The hip armor offers a choice between left and right independent parts for enhanced articulation or a single piece for aesthetic emphasis. The wrist joints feature a triple-jointed structure that can bend 180 degrees, allowing for the deployment of internal weapon connection points. Thanks to the universal 3mm hardpoints on various parts, components can be interchanged with other plastic model kits sold separately by Kotobukiya. Furthermore, the front hair parts are fully compatible with the "Sousai Shojo Teien" series.
