Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) has announced a new model kit product from the video game "Mega Man 11: Gears of Fate!!" titled "Mega Man Pile Driver Ver.", slated for release in May 2025.
The "Pile Driver" introduced this time is a special weapon that Mega Man obtains in the game after defeating the robot boss "Impact Man," created by Dr. Wily. When switched, not only do the body's orange and yellow color scheme and helmet design resemble Impact Man, but the wrist is also equipped with the same pile driver. When used, Mega Man charges forward fiercely, attacking enemies in his path with powerful destructive force.
The "Mega Man Pile Driver Ver." is a modification of the previously releasedstandard pose version of Mega Man. It is also designed using CAD, featuring parts that combine both sculpt and articulation. Once completed, it stands approximately 13.5 cm tall, newly recreating the orange and yellow molded colors reminiscent of Impact Man, as well as the head and arm designs. Some parts are pre-painted, and it comes with four pre-printed face parts, three of which are new expressions different from the standard pose version, allowing for interchangeable display to recreate various scenarios.
Regarding articulation, both the body and arms feature pull-out joint structures, significantly increasing the range of motion and allowing for natural sliding and pile driver dash actions. In addition to four interchangeable hand parts, the pile driver can also be switched between the left and right arms using replacement parts. Furthermore, a 3mm connection port is located on the back, allowing for display with a separately sold articulated display stand.
