Japan's renowned toy company GOOD SMILE COMPANY is set to release its latest product, "EVANGELION Unit-01 (Shin Japan Heroes Universe)" a Polystone, Polyurethane, and Plastic painted complete figure, based on the theme of the 'Shin Japan Heroes Universe (S.J.H.U.)'! The suggested retail price is 115,000 JPY, with an anticipated release in October 2025.
The "Shin Japan Heroes Universe (Shin Japan Heros Universe)," abbreviated as S.J.H.U., is a monumental project that unites Japanese hero culture. It brings together four entities—Khara, Toei, Toho, and Tsuburaya Productions—to collaborate on Hideaki Anno's "Shin" titled works: the four films "Shin Godzilla," "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," "Shin Ultraman," and "Shin Kamen Rider." This miraculous, heavyweight initiative is also known as the Anno-verse. The promotional visual teaser was illustrated by Mahiro Maeda.
The GSC "EVANGELION Unit-01 (Shin Japan Heroes Universe)" Polystone, Polyurethane, and Plastic painted complete figure is sculpted based on the iconic main visual illustration! Standing an impressive 51 cm tall, KLAMP STUDIO handled the prototype production, faithfully recreating Unit-01's intricate mechanical details and its slender, elongated body proportions. With a bowed back and leaning forward in a striding pose, gripping the Lance of Longinus, it exudes an overwhelming sense of readiness for battle!
Similar to the other three characters from the Shin Japan Heroes Universe: Godzilla, Ultraman, and Kamen Rider, the coloring was meticulously handled by Seshiru. It features the iconic purple and fluorescent green color scheme with a subtle sheen, complemented by muscle-like shadow painting that enhances its three-dimensional presence. Details such as the unit markings on the arms are also faithfully reproduced. All four heroes share a rock-themed display base, allowing collectors to recreate the powerful main visual illustration in its entirety when displayed together!
