American toy giant Hasbro recently officially announced a collaborative product between its hugely popular Transformers toy line and the popular Japanese anime Naruto Shippuden: "Kurama and Gamakichi"! It is scheduled to be released on April 1, 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$54.99.
Since Transformers collaborated with Back to the Future in 2019, launching interesting Transformers Collaborative crossover products, it has successively sparked collaborations with Jurassic Park, Stranger Things, Top Gun, G.I. Joe, MARVEL X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and more, creating one fascinating Transformers toy after another. This time marks its first collaboration with a Japanese IP, taking Kurama and Gamakichi from the Naruto story as its theme and transforming them into robots, creating an unexpectedly fresh masterpiece!
This Kurama can transform into robot mode in 14 steps, while Gamakichi transforms in 12 steps. It comes with kunai, a scroll, a short sword, as well as Rasengan, Rasenshuriken, and effect parts for concentrating chakra on the soles of the feet. Judging from the head of Kurama's robot mode and parts resembling a special three-pronged kunai, the robot mode of Kurama indeed brings to mind the Fourth Hokage. However, Gamakichi's robot mode is a bit subtle, or rather, this Naruto Shippuden x Transformers collaboration has been a magical and interesting existence from start to finish for this editor! Its unique design features make it a definite must-have.
