BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest ninth installment in its "Mobile Suit Gundam" themed candy toy series, "MOBILITY JOINT GUNDAM". The product, "MOBILITY JOINT GUNDAM VOL.9", is scheduled for release in March 2025.

"MOBILITY JOINT GUNDAM" continues the design concept of another Gundam candy toy series, "G-FRAME", transforming popular Mobile Suits from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series into approximately 3-head-tall proportions. It utilizes a common "MOBILITY JOINT" articulated frame structure, boasting around 20 points of articulation throughout the body. The exterior armor also features a high density of details, differing from the original settings. Once all parts and stickers are assembled, you will have a Mobile Suit approximately 70mm tall.

This time, the product lineup for "MOBILITY JOINT GUNDAM VOL.9" focuses on "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam", the second installment in the Gundam series which is approaching its 40th anniversary. It features four iconic Mobile Suits from the show: "Z Gundam", "Hyaku-Shiki", "Gundam Mk-II (Titans Color)", and "Gundam Mk-II (AEUG Color)". Additionally, by combining them with each unit's "EX Parts", you can swap weapons or enhance their specifications!
1. Z Gundam
Its cool armor lines, characteristic of its transformable mobile suit features, are precisely reproduced. It comes with a beam rifle and shield that can be equipped on both hands. The dedicated "EX Parts" include the large beam weapon "Hyper Mega Launcher" and "2-barrel Grenade Launcher Pods" for the arms, which can be equipped. Furthermore, a set of replacement parts allows for the reproduction of its transformed "Wave Rider" form.

2. Gundam Mk-II (AEUG Color)
Utilizing completely new parts, it reproduces the layered armor design evolved from the RX-78 Gundam. It comes with a beam rifle and shield that can be equipped. The "EX Parts" consist of the substantial "G-Defenser" support fighter, which can be equipped on the back of the Gundam Mk-II, allowing it to wield a long-range beam rifle and recreate the enhanced "Super Gundam" form that appeared in the latter half of the series.

3. Hyaku-Shiki
Its distinctive golden armor is reproduced with a metallic particle-like molded color, similar to its anime color scheme. The "百" (Hyaku) character on both shoulders is created using transfer printing. Although its standard armament is only a beam rifle, the "EX Parts" further include a shotgun, beam gatling gun, and replacement head and shoulder armor, allowing it to be re-equipped to reproduce the enhanced "Hyaku-Shiki Kai" specifications.

4. Gundam Mk-II (Titans Color)
Its design and armament are identical to the AEUG color version. The entire unit's armor is reproduced in black, dark blue, and other molded colors, representing the Titans color scheme before it was stolen by the AEUG. The number "03." on the left shoulder is created using transfer printing. The "EX Parts" also include interchangeable left shoulder armor printed with numbers "01." and "02.", as well as two sets each of head vulcan systems, hyper bazookas, and beam sabers, allowing both the AEUG and Titans color versions to utilize them.
