World-renowned Hong Kong toy brand Hot Toys today (22nd) announced its latest product from the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," which premiered in 2008: the "Savage Opress" 1/6th scale collectible figure! It is expected to ship from Q4 2025 to Q1 2026, with a suggested retail price of HKD 1,730.
Savage Opress, along with the eternal avenger and mysterious Sith assassin "Darth Maul" from the Star Wars saga, is a member of the Zabrak species. Highly skilled in combat, he gained an even more powerful and muscular physique after receiving dark magic from the Nightsisters. He once served as Count Dooku's apprentice and later successfully found his brother, Darth Maul, fighting alongside him and becoming Maul's apprentice. However, Savage ultimately perished in a battle against Darth Sidious alongside Maul.
This figure, standing 34 cm tall, showcases Savage Opress's more imposing and muscular physique compared to Darth Maul. It meticulously recreates his yellow skin, intimidating facial contours, the distinctive Zabrak horns on his head, and his form-fitting attire featuring tribal markings and extensive weathering on the armor. Not only does it incorporate movable eye technology, but the horns can also be replaced with a broken state, significantly enhancing the head sculpt's expressive versatility.
Accessories include a light-up double-bladed red lightsaber, a lightsaber blade in a swinging effect, a lightsaber hilt that can be attached to the waist, a spear, multiple interchangeable hands, and a mechanical left arm with articulation, recreating the setting where his left arm was severed during his battle with Obi-Wan in Season 5 of the animated series and subsequently equipped with a mechanical arm. Both the sculpt and accessories are incredibly detailed and thoughtful; although he is a relatively niche character, this figure is truly exciting!
