Danish toy company LEGO's product series based on SEGA's video game "Sonic the Hedgehog" will release three new sets, numbered 77001, 77002, and 77003, in January 2025! Let's take a look.
In addition to building scenes, vehicles, and collectible character minifigures based on the "Sonic the Hedgehog" game settings, the biggest feature of the "Sonic the Hedgehog" LEGO products is the speed-focused gameplay that goes beyond mere construction, utilizing a press-activated speed sphere launcher and speed spheres that can hold minifigures. These three sets have a relatively low piece count, all under 500 pieces. "77001 Sonic's Campfire Clash" is an entry-level set that offers an initial experience at an affordable price, while 77002 and 77003 allow you to build the fox inventor "Tails'" transformable vehicle and the orange Biolizard.
The minifigures in these three sets are also worth mentioning! In addition to the classic protagonist Sonic in 77001, 77002 allows you to collect Tails and the brand-new Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic faithfully recreates his distinct head sculpt and iconic red eyes, and the torso printing is also highly anticipated! And in 77003, you can collect two golden minifigures at once: Super Shadow and Super Sonic – they're incredibly cool!
