International collectible brand Star Ace Toys, in collaboration with Japan's X-Plus, is set to release an outstanding new addition to their "Wonders of the Wild" product series in Q1 2025: a diorama statue of the "Mosasaurus" that will immerse you in the mysteries of the ancient ocean! Both a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition will be released simultaneously, with suggested retail prices of US$268.99 and US$318.99 respectively.
The "Wonders of the Wild Mosasaurus" measures an impressive 42 cm in length. Its prototype was once again sculpted by artist Sean Cooper, renowned for his expertise in depicting mammalian physiques and dinosaur forms. He has vividly brought to life this apex predator that thrived in the Late Cretaceous oceans, capturing its smooth body, powerful fins, and gaping maw filled with sharp teeth, all exquisitely detailed for free movement in the sea. The textures and glossy finish on the body surface, as well as the wrinkles and hardened skin along the edges of the caudal fin, are rendered with remarkable biological realism.
The Deluxe Edition further includes a Great White Shark, the Mosasaurus's targeted prey, instantly showcasing the Mosasaurus in its terrifying predatory glory! The significant size difference is also a major highlight, considering the Mosasaurus could reach lengths of approximately 12 to 15 meters. Another distinction in the Deluxe Edition is the vibrant, fantastical underwater flora on the base, lending the piece an epic and magnificent visual impact.
