“One Slash, Three Bows. The End of Training is Reaching Infinity” Fate/Samurai Remnant 1/7 Miyamoto Musashi: An Amateur's Professional Unboxing

Hello everyone, I'm Itami

Welcome to this amateur's professional unboxing (IG: Itami Kengo)

Today, we're unboxing the DX Edition Miyamoto Musashi produced by KT model+

This product is quite special, as it's only available for purchase at the KT SPOT Online Shop

The character design is from the Berserker class in the game 《Fate/Samurai Remnant》 (It's like buying a figure and getting a game for free

I had a friend help me purchase and ship it from Japan this time. I didn't get the game or other bonuses; I only took the figure itself

After opening the outer box, you'll find that the flame base is the main space-hogger

The overall production and painting are excellent, with intricate details like the patterns on the clothing and sword blade.

The chosen pose is also relatively dynamic, so compared to common standing figures, the entire flame base really challenges your display space

First, let's talk about the somewhat controversial flame base. Its space-consuming nature is secondary; the main issue is that, aside from the flames, it's entirely a transparent disc.

While it's quite convenient for collectors who need lighting or want to take photos, as the light immediately creates atmosphere, it's less friendly to general collectors. After all, having spent so much, it's disappointing that there are no rock formations, or at least some painted faux terrain.

Furthermore, the support pieces are not very stable; there are no fixed clips or slots, they simply attach directly based on the figure's contours

Having discussed the drawbacks, I must still praise it. The flame effects greatly enhance this pose. This drawing-sword-and-leaping action, combined with the flames, not only adds to the figure's presence but also compensates for the slender appearance of the bent leg

Next, let's look at the head details. The gaze is surprisingly not very angle-limited

Although she's looking in a diagonal direction, that expression of constantly fixating on her target is superb

The lines on the top of the head are also meticulously crafted, transitioning naturally to the hair ornament. The luster of the bead-like hair ornament is also striking, though there's a slight mold line at the very tip of the hair, a minor deduction but not a significant issue

The clothing's paintwork and layering are also faithfully reproduced, with various accessories and ties having independent parts

Her physique is sculpted through the contours of her clothing, without deliberately reducing fabric to expose her chest

Yet, it perfectly conveys Musashi's ample bust, a definite plus

The tattered look of the clothing is well-executed, and the paintwork is very consistent

However, it gets obscured by the flames, so its prominence is somewhat diminished compared to other parts

The twin swords are my favorite part. Even the grips feature metallic line separation, a top-tier level of detail

The luster captured at certain angles makes me believe it's made of metal

In contrast to the high-quality craftsmanship of the blades, the scabbards are a bit disappointing

Firstly, the front should have been hollowed out deeper; as it is, the visible obstruction looks a bit abrupt

Secondly, the surface is too smooth, and with the black and white color scheme, it lacks visual weight. It would have been better if the black and white could have utilized two different finishes, for example, matte white and glossy black, to enhance the contrast between them

Here are some casual shots; please enjoy them at your leisure

Overall, if you have sufficient budget and space, I still recommend going directly for the DX Edition

Of course, the barrier to entry will be relatively higher, but I believe it is absolutely worth it

That concludes today's sharing. I hope you enjoyed it

Feel free to follow my IG account if you're interested; I'll irregularly share various toy unboxings

See you next time
