The robot-themed action figure series "ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E.", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., today officially announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," the "Strike Gundam (Regenerated) + I.W.S.P.," scheduled for release in May 2025.
The GAT-X105 Strike Gundam (Regenerated), which appeared in side stories such as "ASTRAY," is a unit re-produced based on the combat data of the Strike Gundam previously piloted by Kira Yamato, as part of the "Actaeon Project," an ace pilot exclusive mobile suit development plan led by the Earth Alliance's 81st Independent Mobile Group "Phantom Pain" after the great war. Some parts were newly modified, and the power distribution of the PS armor was re-adjusted, resulting in a darker color. This unit was piloted by Sven Cal Bayang, and equipped with the I.W.S.P. backpack to collect operational data for various combat situations, becoming the foundation for the later development of "Strike Gundam E" and "Strike Noir Gundam".
The "ROBOT SPIRITS Strike Gundam (Regenerated) + I.W.S.P. ver. A.N.I.M.E." is based on modifications to the previously released Strike Gundam main unit, inheriting the cool styling that balances design drafts with in-anime animation, and excellent articulation design. The overall color of the parts has also been modified to reproduce the darker PS armor coloration from the setting, and an original model-specific marking print has been added to the left shoulder armor.
The newly sculpted "I.W.S.P." backpack also faithfully recreates its cool silhouette and abundant armaments for various ranges based on its in-anime setting. In addition to movable mechanisms for each wing, the two "9.1m Anti-Ship Swords" can be detached for the Strike Gundam to equip. The two "115mm Railguns" on the shoulders, and the "Gatling Gun" and "Beam Boomerang" mounted on the left arm's composite shield can all be fitted with effect parts to recreate firing poses.
Furthermore, the I.W.S.P. utilizes the same connection joint as the previously released ver. A.N.I.M.E. Striker Pack series, allowing it to be equipped on other units in the series such as the Strike Gundam, Strike Rouge Gundam, and Strike Noir Gundam. It can also link with the support fighter "ROBOT SPIRITS Skygrasper ver. A.N.I.M.E." to create original forms equipped with the I.W.S.P.
