Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY's plastic model kit series "MODEROID" will release a plastic model kit of the protagonist "Tekkaman Blade" (テッカマンブレード) from Tatsunoko Production's classic robot anime series "Tekkaman Blade" in June 2025! Priced at 7,500 JPY.
"Tekkaman Blade" (宇宙の騎士テッカマンブレード, also known as "Space Knight Tekkaman Blade") was produced by Japan's Tatsunoko Production (タツノコプロ) and first aired on TV Tokyo in Japan in 1992. The story describes how the protagonist Takaya Aiba (相羽タカヤ, nicknamed D-BOY) and his family were captured by the alien force "Radam" while traveling on a spaceship and transformed into Tekkaman. The protagonist, saved by his father, fortunately retained his original consciousness and became an incomplete Tekkaman. Meanwhile, his brainwashed family members, also transformed into Tekkaman, became his enemies. Facing a series of battles with his relatives and the entanglement of cruel reality, the story unfolds.
This MODEROID Tekkaman Blade plastic model kit stands approximately 17.5 cm tall, faithfully recreating the appearance of the protagonist D-BOY after his transformation. All joints are articulated, and green clear parts are used to represent detailed areas such as the shoulders, eyes, and knees.
Weapons include Tekkaman's standard weapon, the twin-bladed spear "Tekk Lancer" (テックランサー) which can split into two, and the small shield "Tekk Shield" (テックシールド) which can be mounted on the left arm and back. The shoulder parts can also open up to display the ultimate move "Voltekka" (ポルテッカ). Additionally, interchangeable hand parts are included. There are two types of interchangeable eye and shoulder parts to choose from.
