To commemorate the 50th anniversary of its popular die-cast toy series "Chogokin," BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has partnered with the handheld electronic pet game "Tamagotchi" to release its latest product, the "CHOGOKIN Tamagotchi Robot"! The suggested retail price is 9,900 JPY, with an anticipated release in May 2025!
The classic childhood toy "Tamagotchi" (たまごっち!) is a handheld electronic pet game launched by Japan's BANDAI and WIZ companies starting in 1996 (commonly known as "electronic chicken" in Taiwan). Designed as a small, cute egg-shaped electronic toy, it allows players to raise various digital pets, caring for them anytime, anywhere, including feeding, cleaning up after them, and watching them grow.
The Chogokin "CHOGOKIN Tamagotchi Robot" stands approximately 10 cm tall. Centered around an "Original Tamagotchi" commemorating Chogokin's 50th anniversary, it not only features electroplated gold to achieve a metallic texture, but even the game screen displays an original Chogokin 50th-anniversary logo! Integrated with the robot body, it extends into a Tamagotchi robot head and mechanical arms with claw hands, while its feet are styled like roller skates, giving it a retro yet adorable look!
With a simple transformation mechanism, the arms can be retracted, allowing it to transform from robot mode into UFO mode!
