Bandai's GASHAPON division is set to release a new product in its popular 'Waiting' (Machibouke) series, featuring the popular anime 'Dandadan' – the 'Dandadan Waiting' Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per capsule, with an anticipated release in the fifth week of November 2024!
'Dandadan' is a shonen manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, serialized in Shueisha's 'Shonen Jump+' since 2021, and adapted into a TV anime by Science SARU in 2024. The story follows Momo Ayase, a protagonist who firmly believes in supernatural phenomena but not aliens, and Ken Takakura, a protagonist who believes in aliens but not supernatural phenomena. To prove their beliefs, they each venture to designated spooky locations, only to both make astonishing discoveries, embarking on an extraordinary life filled with various occult and supernatural occurrences.
This 'Dandadan Waiting' Gashapon series features the characters from the show rendered in an approximately two-head-tall proportion, depicting them in a squatting posture while faithfully recreating their distinctive features. The lineup includes Momo Ayase, Okarun, Okarun (Transformed), and Turbo Granny, who is sealed within a Maneki-neko. Momo and Okarun's knee-hugging poses appear quite serious and calm, creating a stark contrast with Turbo Granny's reclining dynamic. Lined up, they are incredibly cute, so all 'Dandadan' fans and toy enthusiasts shouldn't miss out!
