BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, has announced its latest product from the popular anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End": "Frieren GLASSCAPE (tentative name)", scheduled for release in April 2025.
The Japanese manga "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" (葬送のフリーレン), originally written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, tells the story of Frieren, an elven mage, who returns as a hero after a decade-long adventure with the human hero Himmel, the dwarven warrior Eisen, and the human priest Heiter. Frieren, who can live for a thousand years without aging, perceives the passage of time differently from mortals. After witnessing the deaths and aging of her companions, she regrets not having truly understood others. Frieren then embarks on a new journey to experience the meaning of life and time.
The BANPRESTO prize figure "Frieren GLASSCAPE (tentative name)" features not only a meticulously crafted character but also a transparent, stained-glass-style circular window background base, making the character design truly stand out! Frieren is depicted casually leaning against the stained-glass background and base, with a relaxed expression on her face, holding a finely detailed magic staff. The entire background is inspired by the Blue Moon Weed from the hero Himmel's hometown, printed with magic circles, an abundance of flowers, and the companions of the hero's party: the young Himmel, the warrior Eisen, and the priest Heiter, evoking memories of the hero's party's adventures.
