Bandai Spirits Japan's monster-themed soft vinyl "MOVIE MONSTER" series has unveiled a new product based on "Fes Godzilla 5: Giant Monster Battle," recently announced at "Godzilla Fes 2024"—the "Jet Jaguar" Special Set, with a reference price of 4,000 JPY, scheduled for release in May 2025!
Jet Jaguar (ジェットジャガ) first appeared in the 1973 film "Godzilla vs. Megalon" (ゴジラ対メガロ). In the film, the people of the Seatopian undersea kingdom send Megalon to punish humanity for their continuous nuclear tests, and they control the artificial robot Jet Jaguar. However, humanity eventually regains control of Jet Jaguar, who then teams up with Godzilla to fight against Megalon and the alien monster Gigan, summoned by the Seatopians.
This "Jet Jaguar" Special Set is based on his appearance in the special short film project "Fes Godzilla 5: Giant Monster Battle," featuring a newly sculpted rendition of his suit design from the film and recreating his cool thumbs-up gesture towards Godzilla. A major highlight this time is the ability to equip him with the new weapon "G-Claw" (G クロー) via interchangeable parts. This weapon, based on Gigan's scythe, was used when he fought King Ghidorah, recreating his powerful, newly introduced form!
