In addition to the 2025 Chinese New Year sets from the Danish LEGO Group, which include set number 80116 Lantern Festival and 80117 Auspicious Dragon: Good Fortune, the "40813 Lucky Cat" will also be released on January 1, 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$29.99.
Unlike the aforementioned "80116 Lantern Festival" and "80117 Auspicious Dragon: Good Fortune" which boast over a thousand pieces, this Lucky Cat is a smaller set with 280 pieces. Once assembled, it stands approximately 11 cm tall, similar in size to a BrickHeadz series model. This model utilizes a rich variety of curved and rounded pieces to create its auspicious, plump body. The shaping of the ears and mouth is also very well executed. The pink paw pads on the soles of its feet are represented by 2x2 round curved bricks, while the one on its left hand is a sticker. From the current official images, it appears that the curved facial pattern is printed, but the gold coins are stickers, with two styles to choose from: a gold coin pattern and "千萬兩" (ten million taels).
