Japan's super popular manga "Chiikawa" official online store Chiikawa Market today announced multiple new merchandise items themed after the original "Parallel World Arc," set to go on sale starting November 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM Japan time.
The Chiikawa "Parallel World Arc" describes Chiikawa being bitten by a mysterious flying insect, after which Hachiware, while caring for the feverish Chiikawa, is sent on a journey to a parallel world. In this completely different world, where cause and effect are the opposite of what was originally known, Hachiware encounters a Chiikawa with a different appearance but a smoother life than the original. Just as Hachiware was conflicted about whether to stay, Hachiware's body gradually chimera-fied, almost completely losing its true nature and attacking its friends. Fortunately, at the last moment, Hachiware was able to return to the original world, ending a brief but terrifying journey.
The "Chiikawa Parallel World!? Merchandise" features characters with appearances different from their original world counterparts, such as Pink-Bellied Chiikawa, Fluffy Hachiware, and Scissor-Eared Usagi, transformed into various lifestyle products.
