From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, the S.H.Figuarts action figure brand has launched a new product based on the popular anime "One Piece" – the "Monkey D. Luffy -Egghead Island-" action figure. It has a suggested retail price of 4,400 JPY and is scheduled for release in May 2025!
The Egghead Island Arc immediately follows the Wano Country Arc and is the thirty-second arc of "One Piece," as well as the first arc of the Final Saga. After the Straw Hat Pirates caused a ruckus on Onigashima and Luffy became the Fifth Emperor, they finally arrived at the legendary scientist Dr. Vegapunk's dwelling: Egghead Island, the Island of the Future. Step by step, they draw closer to the truth of this world and the location of the final Great Treasure – Laugh Tale!
This "Monkey D. Luffy -Egghead Island-" action figure stands approximately 15 cm tall. It is based on the previously released Onigashima Luffy figure, featuring his red futuristic outfit from the Egghead Arc. The hem of the futuristic outfit is made of soft plastic, which may slightly affect overall articulation. The leg parts utilize the updated knee joints from the Onigashima Luffy figure and feature new futuristic boot designs. The figure is rendered with a flat paint application to reproduce the vibrant red colors from the series, along with printed yellow patterns and the "SSG" lettering on the hem, among other details. Accessories include two pairs of interchangeable hands, three interchangeable face parts, and the long-awaited straw hat accessory that can be worn on the back, which was also included in the "Flexible Accessory Pack" released in February. These accessories can be combined with the previously released Onigashima Luffy or "Monkey D. Luffy -The Dawn of Adventure-" figures for an even richer display experience!
