The popular die-cast toy series 'METAL BUILD', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced its latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam 00V Chronicle", the '00 QAN[T] Full Saber Expansion Parts Set', scheduled for release in June 2025. Pre-orders for this product are expected to open on December 06, 2024, at 16:00 JST on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
GNT-0000 00 QAN[T] is a 5th-generation Gundam that appeared in "Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie -A wakening of the Trailblazer-", designed specifically for the protagonist Setsuna F. Seiei, a purebred Innovator. The armament enhancement plan "GNT-0000/FS 00 QAN[T] Full Saber", which did not appear in the film, was a contingency developed due to concerns about the "unstable output of the 00 QAN[T]'s new Twin Drive". It features the "GN Sword IV Full Saber" mounted on the 00 QAN[T]'s backpack, which stabilizes the operation of the Twin Drive System. It can also transform and combine into various modes such as a Buster Sword, Rifle, and Beam Cannon, intended to counter the invading ELS with powerful firepower. However, once equipped, it prevents the activation of the "Quantum System" and thus communication with the ELS.
The "METAL BUILD 00 QAN[T] Full Saber Expansion Parts Set" is a standalone release of the "GN Sword IV Full Saber" from the previously launched TAMASHII NATION 2024 commemorative product, "METAL BUILD 00 QAN[T] Full Saber". This set is for collectors who have already acquired the "METAL BUILD 00 QAN[T] Full Saber" main unit, allowing them to transform it into an original model form wielding dual greatswords.
The newly produced armament, "GN Sword IV Full Saber", is also supervised by designer Kanetake Ebikawa and incorporates original model settings. In addition to the original "GN Sword IV" main unit and three "GN Gunblades", a fourth "GN Gunblade" has been added, symmetrically suspended below the GN Sword IV. The set also includes dedicated adapter parts, allowing the "GN Sword IV Full Saber" to be mounted on the shoulders, back, and other areas, enabling a wide variety of posing and silhouette changes.
However, this product still does not include the new backpack with dual-sided mounts, thus preventing its use as an equipment change for the separately sold "METAL BUILD 00 QAN[T]".
