The robot-themed articulated finished product series "ROBOT魂 (ROBOT SPIRITS)", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced its latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam", the "RX-78F00/E Gundam", slated for release in April 2025.
Standing 17 meters tall next to the "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION" exhibition hall in the 2025 Japan World Expo (Osaka-Kansai Expo) area, the "RX-78F00/E Gundam Life-Sized Statue" was modified from the previous life-sized articulated Gundam at "GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA". It has been redesigned as a non-articulated statue in a high-kneeling pose looking up at the cosmos, with the shoulder armor, skirt armor, and leg armor on its left half replaced with new designs resembling solar panels or LED lights. When night falls, a special performance with accompanying lighting and smoke effects will take place.
The model version, the "ROBOT魂 RX-78F00/E Gundam", appears to be closer to the original design. Its unique translucent blue armor is not only on the left side, but new parts are also used to reproduce the translucent blue armor on the right shoulder armor, skirt armor, and leg armor, forming a completely symmetrical design. Most other aspects of its styling are the same as the previously released RX-78F00 version, featuring intricately sculpted armor details and revised color schemes and body markings.
Thanks to its flexible articulated joint design, the RX-78F00/E Gundam can recreate the characteristic high-kneeling pose looking up at the cosmos, as seen at the Expo venue. The accessories also include various interchangeable hand parts, as well as armaments of the same specifications as the RX-78F00, such as a beam rifle, beam saber, and shield, allowing for dynamic battle poses that the statue cannot achieve.
