From China's high-quality articulated figure collectible brand JOYTOY, following the previous "Shredder" and "Foot Soldier A / Foot Soldier B", comes a new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" themed product—the "April O'Neil" 1/18 scale articulated figure. The suggested retail price is US$43.99, with an estimated release in March 2025!
April O'Neil first appeared in the 1984 Mirage Comics Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. In the original setting, she was Dr. Baxter Stockman's research assistant. In the 1987 animated TV series, she was adapted into the more widely known TV news reporter, becoming the Turtles' first human ally, often assisting them with various tasks that required public appearances.
This "April O'Neil" 1/18 scale articulated figure stands approximately 10.4 cm tall, referencing her reporter look in the classic 1987 animated series, complete with her yellow jumpsuit. The sculpt faithfully recreates April's neat short hair and the wrinkle details on her clothing. Accessories include a classic 8mm video camera, a film camera, and a handheld microphone, allowing April to perform her reporter duties at any time. Also included are a pair of boxing gloves, a Turtle Communicator, and a Mouser robot. With an interchangeable head sculpt, multiple sets of interchangeable hands, and flexible articulation, she can be posed with previously released characters to create various interesting scenes!
Similar to the Turtles' figures, the base not only includes a standard base printed with "TURTLES" but also a small, meticulously painted manhole cover base piece, which can be combined with other character bases for a 360-degree display!
