From China's high-quality action figure collectible brand JOYTOY, in addition to "April O'Neil," another new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" themed product will be released simultaneously—the "Splinter" 1/18 scale action figure. The suggested retail price is US$46.99, with an estimated release in March 2025!
In the original 1984 Mirage Comics, Splinter was the pet rat of Japanese ninja Hamato Yoshi. After Hamato Yoshi was mercilessly murdered by Shredder, Splinter and the baby turtles came into contact with mutagenic substance in the sewers of New York, and he taught the turtles martial arts based on his accumulated experience. In the 1987 animated TV series, Splinter was Hamato Yoshi himself, who mutated after coming into contact with mutagenic ooze and rats.
This "Splinter" 1/18 scale action figure stands approximately 9.5 cm tall, making it the most petite figure in the series so far. It also references the classic 1987 animated version's design, sculpted with a more realistic style to capture Splinter's furry, wise appearance. Accessories include two sets of interchangeable hands, his iconic walking stick, a straw cape that can be worn, a katana, a makiwara for sword practice, two short sickles, two small knives, and two kunai. The editor believes the absolute highlight is the four baby turtle figures before their mutation, each posed in incredibly cute dynamics, looking absolutely endearing when placed next to their master!
Similar to the turtles, the base part includes a standard base with the "TURTLES" logo printed on it, as well as a small, meticulously painted manhole cover base fragment, which can be combined with other character bases for a 360-degree display!
