The 'ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E.' series of robot-themed articulated finished products, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced the latest product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam', the 'Rick Dom Solomon Capture Battle Color', scheduled for release in June 2025.
During the One Year War, due to delays in the development of the next-generation main mobile suit and the Federation Forces' counterattack into space, the Zeon military converted the ground combat mobile suit 'MS-09 Dom' into the space combat specification 'MS-09R Rick Dom'. It could be deployed to the battlefield with minor modifications such as changing the thermonuclear jet engine to a thermonuclear rocket engine and adding thrusters to the legs.
To coincide with the productization of the massive MA "Big Zam" used by the Zeon forces in the Solomon Capture Battle, ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E. is re-releasing the 'Rick Dom' with a refreshed Solomon Capture Battle color scheme. The overall color tone of the entire unit is deeper than the original version, but other specifications remain essentially the same.
The 'ROBOT魂 Rick Dom ver. A.N.I.M.E.' features a classic design closely resembling the anime setting drawings, faithfully reproducing its characteristic rounded body and heavy armor. With multi-axis articulation in the main torso, horizontal articulation in the elbow joints, movable skirt armor, and embedded joints behind the knees, the seemingly bulky mobile suit can be posed in flexible and natural ways.
Accessories include weapons such as the Giant Bazooka, Beam Bazooka, and Heat Saber, which can be equipped. It also comes with rocket projectile effects to recreate Giant Bazooka firing scenes, providing a more immersive battle presentation.
