SQEX Announces New Action Figure Series "PLAY ARTS Shin"! First Release: "FFVII Rebirth Vincent Valentine"!

SQUARE ENIX, a Japanese company, today officially announced that the first product in its new action figure sub-series, "PLAY ARTS Shin", will be the popular character "Vincent Valentine" from "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth". Detailed product information will be released soon.

Vincent Valentine was originally a member of the Shinra Company's special operations group, the "Turks". He fell in love with Lucrecia, who was his assistant at the time, but Lucrecia chose to marry Professor Hojo. She even allowed herself and her unborn child, "Sephiroth," to become experimental subjects implanted with Jenova cells. Vincent, attempting to stop this, was instead transformed into an immortal monster. From then on, Vincent chose to seal himself in a coffin to atone, but at that time, he did not yet know that this immortal body was actually given to him by Lucrecia to save him from dying.

The newly announced "PLAY ARTS Shin" appears to be an upgraded product line launched to differentiate it from "PLAY ARTS Kai". The first character, "Vincent Valentine", will be sculpted based on his newly designed costume from "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth". His distinctive red cape will be rendered using a combination of plastic and fabric parts, balancing both aesthetics and articulation.

However, in recent years, the quality of "PLAY ARTS Kai" products, especially in the sculpting of character faces, has received extreme reviews. It remains to be seen whether the official announcement of the detailed contents of "PLAY ARTS Shin" can restore players' confidence in the "PLAY ARTS" series.
