Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, under its immensely popular "Ichiban Kuji" brand, which guarantees a prize with every draw, today announced the latest product themed around "Mobile Suit Gundam 00", "Mobile Suit Gundam 00 -GUNDAM MEISTERS-", slated for release in April 2025.
The Gundam series work "Mobile Suit Gundam 00", which aired in 2007, was the first to use the Anno Domini (A.D.) calendar as its story setting, featuring a near-future background close to reality. The story depicts a world where, after Earth's oil reserves are depleted, humanity relies on solar energy for survival and constructs orbital elevators capable of generating vast amounts of solar power and accessing space stations. However, only members of the world's three major alliances can benefit from this. As major powers continue their arms race and civil wars spread in impoverished smaller nations, the private armed organization "Celestial Being" heralds a new dawn, deploying four Mobile Suits "Gundam" that transcend Earth's technology to intervene militarily in the world, vowing to eradicate war.
While complete prize information for "Ichiban Kuji Mobile Suit Gundam 00 -GUNDAM MEISTERS-" has not yet been announced, the striking design of the grand "A Prize" has been revealed ahead of time. It will feature a fixed-pose figure of the unit piloted by the protagonist, Setsuna F. Seiei, in the series: the "MASTERLISE MECHANICS Gundam Exia". This figure boasts an impressive height of approximately 22 cm, high-density armor detailing, body markings, and faithfully recreates the cool design of its main right-arm weapon, the "GN Sword".
