GOOD SMILE COMPANY, a Japanese company, has announced the latest product from its popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand different items. The new release is "Nendoroid Mimic" from "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," with a suggested retail price of 5,500 JPY, slated for release in June 2025.
One of the most well-known scenes in "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" features the magic-obsessed thousand-year-old elf, Frieren. Despite possessing immense power and mastering various spells, she invariably falls into the Mimic's trap?! Even with a discernment spell boasting a 99% success rate, Frieren insists that what she sees and her accumulated experience are more trustworthy than magic, always resulting in her being swallowed by the Mimic and screaming, "It's so dark, it's so scary!"
The "Nendoroid Mimic" articulated figure adorably recreates the Mimic's massive tongue and yellowish teeth in chibi style, with finely detailed weathered cracks and metallic paintwork also exquisitely rendered! When opened, it stands approximately 60 mm tall. Accessories include a "tongue part," a "half-eaten Frieren torso part," and a "screaming dialogue effect plate." The small portion of Frieren's lower body exposed outside is cutely reproduced, making it feel as if you can hear her shouting "It's so dark! It's so scary!" from inside, even through the screen! Additionally, it includes an "upright curly hair part" (for use with the separately sold Nendoroid Frieren).
▼Good Smile Company Online Store exclusive bonus includes two effect plates: sweating and sparkling.
