High-quality action figure and statue manufacturer DAMTOYS from China has obtained official authorization from Kodansha to release a new product based on the anime "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045" — the "Motoko Kusanagi Casual Outfit Ver." 1/6 scale action figure. The suggested retail price is US$299.99, and it is expected to be released in Q2 2025!
The 3D animated series "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045," which premiered on streaming in 2022, is a spin-off of the classic sci-fi anime "Ghost in the Shell" series. The story takes place in 2045, after the global economy has collapsed and the Four Great Powers are embroiled in an unending "sustainable war." Motoko Kusanagi leads Public Security Section 9, operating under the name "GHOST," accepting various missions from mercenary organizations. As the global crisis intensifies, a group of beings known as "Post-Humans" emerges, possessing abilities beyond human comprehension and threatening world order.
This "Motoko Kusanagi Casual Outfit Ver." 1/6 scale action figure stands approximately 28 cm tall. Based on DAMTOYS' self-developed female body, the lifelike sculpt faithfully recreates the facial design by Russian illustrator Ilya Kuvshinov. The figure's hands offer both plastic articulated arms and metal skeleton rubber-coated arms for collectors to choose from, allowing for replacement based on preference and preservation needs. The eyeballs also feature an articulated design, allowing for subtle adjustments to gaze and expression!
For the outfit, the inner black vest is made of rubber material, while Motoko's purple cropped jacket and black long trench coat from the series are crafted from exquisitely printed fabric. Accessories include multiple sets of interchangeable hands, an assault rifle, rifle magazines, a pistol, pistol magazines and holster, and the 1A84 AI unit, among other meticulously designed and highly detailed weapons and items, offering collectors a wealth of display options!
