The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS is set to release its latest product, the "MGSD Wing Gundam Zero EW" from the anime "New Mobile Report Gundam W: Endless Waltz," on November 30, 2024. Ahead of the launch, an official early unboxing has been released, detailing the kit's color separation, parts division, and articulated joint design.

The third release in the MGSD series, "Wing Gundam Zero EW," integrates MG-level color separation, parts division, and articulation into a 12cm tall SD Gundam body. In addition to its high-density detail, it utilizes new materials and innovative articulation mechanisms, allowing you to build the mobile suit from the internal frame outwards. This gives the traditionally simplistic SD Gundam the intricate structure expected of a high-end Gunpla product.

▼ The head of the "MGSD Wing Gundam Zero EW" is constructed from parts in multiple molded colors, including yellow, blue, white, silver, red, black, and clear green, achieving a high degree of completion straight out of the box. The cameras on the top of the head, forehead, and eyes use a dual-layer structure of silver and clear green parts. The inner layer features "Realistic Metallic Gloss Injection" parts to express a metallic texture and detailed sensor elements. When the outer clear parts are attached, the intricate internal mechanics are visible.

▼ The upper body is composed of black, white, blue, red, silver, and clear green parts. The chest sensor similarly uses "Realistic Metallic Gloss Injection" parts layered under an outer clear piece.

▼ The arms also utilize a rich variety of parts to express flexible articulated joints, armor colors, and layering. The innermost part of the shoulder armor uses silver parts to represent the internal frame, while the sensors on the forearm gauntlets are recreated with clear green parts.

▼ In addition to rich armor details, the legs incorporate clever designs for the articulated joints. The armor on both sides of the lower legs features an unfolding mechanism, which reduces interference with the knee joint's movement, allowing for a maximum bend of nearly 180 degrees.

The waist includes a total of 6 skirt armor pieces (front, side, and rear), each with independent articulation to expand the hip joints' range of motion.

▼ To enhance the strength after attaching the massive wings, the backpack's connection to the main body is a non-detachable structure once assembled. The supports connecting the wings on both sides feature multi-axis articulated joints, allowing them to pivot in various directions.

▼ Head articulation showcase. The neck joint allows for significant forward and backward tilting.

▼ The chest armor can slide forward to reveal the internal cockpit design.

▼ The chest and waist joint can bend forward and to the sides.

▼ The shoulders use a pull-out joint to expand the arms' range of motion.

▼ The hand parts feature an MG-equivalent three-point articulation design: thumb, index finger, and the remaining three fingers.

▼ Both hip joints also feature a pull-out mechanism to expand the legs' range of motion.

▼ The backpack has a concealed connection port for use with an action base (sold separately).

▼ In addition to being articulated via their supports, the sub-wings, constructed with a multi-layered structure, also feature an unfolding mechanism that changes their silhouette.

▼ The main wings are even more impressive, crafted with a five-layer structure that includes internal mechanics. The seven feathers on the lower section are individually articulated, and the upper armor features an unfolding gimmick that reveals the inner frame. This internal structure not only features a metallic frame expressed with "Realistic Metallic Gloss Injection" parts but also includes model-original clear blue components. These clear blue parts are made with a honeycomb structure that enhances light reflection, creating a glowing effect.

▼ The "Twin Buster Rifle" weapon features a barrel extension mechanism and a combination gimmick for both rifles. The end of the stock has a connecting part that can be secured to a peg inside the forearm armor, improving the stability when Wing Gundam Zero EW holds the rifle. This allows for recreating classic scenes like the spinning, dual-wielding firing pose and the combined maximum-output shot.

▼ The MGSD continues the design from the previously released MG Ver.Ka version, adopting the shield design from the manga "Glory of the Losers." The shield also features intricate details and multi-color parts separation. The small wings on the front sides are interlinked with a gear mechanism, allowing them to retract and deploy simultaneously.

▼ The inner side has an extendable connection part that secures to a discreet peg on the inside of the forearm armor.

▼ The two Beam Sabers come with green beam effect parts. The hilts can be stored in the sub-wing supports when not in use.

▼ The Machine Cannons housed in the shoulders feature a linked mechanism; the barrels extend forward as the covers are opened.

▼ The wing-like armor on the sides of the head and the shoulder armor have unfolding mechanisms that reveal the silver internal structure, recreating the "ZERO System" activation state.

▼ Various parts of the mobile suit feature gimmicks that, in combination with the shield, can recreate the "Neo-Bird Mode" in its space, atmospheric, and atmospheric entry configurations.
