Nintendo's official physical stores Nintendo TOKYO/OSAKA/KYOTO announced today that the latest gashapon toy product themed after The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the "Zonai Device Magnets," has been pre-sold at all three stores. Other general retailers are expected to begin sales in Spring 2025.
The new element introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Zonai Devices, are various devices developed by the ancient, highly civilized "Zonai tribe," possessing specific functions such as blowing wind, cooking, and rotation. In the game, players can acquire a large number of devices at once from "Zonai Device Dispensers," which resemble gashapon machines. With Link's new ability, "Ultrahand," players can assemble various tools or weapons like aircraft, chariots, or even robots. There are no fixed formulas; it's all based on free imagination, making it the most crucial core gameplay of this title.
The "Zonai Device Magnets" are produced by Bandai Co., Ltd. of Japan and feature six types of Zonai Devices: Fan, Portable Pot, Flame Emitter, Beam Emitter, Rocket, and Big Wheel. Utilizing rich colors and meticulous painting, they recreate the bronze-like green base and magnificent golden edges. Even the gashapon capsule's shape perfectly replicates the capsule produced by the dispenser in the game. Each Zonai Device comes with an Ultrahand-adhesive-shaped magnet part, allowing the Zonai Device to be attached to magnetic surfaces, letting you personally experience the Ultrahand ability from the game!
