Hong Kong toy manufacturer threezero's "Code threezero" sub-brand, which focuses on trendy apparel and collectibles, has launched a new product based on the evergreen tokusatsu series Kamen Rider – the "Kamen Rider Heisei Series 02 Keychain" blind box. The official website's reference price for a combined set of 10 boxes is US$79.90, with an estimated release in Q2 2025!
After a 10-year hiatus without a new series, the Kamen Rider franchise ushered in the Heisei era with the broadcast of "Kamen Rider Kuuga" in 2000. This injected new life into the series with more innovative transformation methods and diverse story genres. The pattern of introducing new Riders with interesting new settings each year has continued all the way to the current Reiwa series!
This "Kamen Rider Heisei Series 02 Keychain" features 10 popular Riders from both the new and old Heisei decades, crafted into approximately 6 cm tall chibi-style charms. It includes Agito from 2001, Blade from 2004, Faiz from 2003, Hibiki from 2005, KABUTO from 2006, KIVA from 2008, W and DECADE from 2009, Drive from 2014, and EX-AID from 2016. Each charm captures the dynamic pose of the respective Kamen Rider performing their classic Rider Kick (ライダーキック), with their designs faithfully recreated using composite plastic material and finished with matte and metallic paints! Furthermore, each charm comes with a metal tag engraved with the corresponding series title and Rider emblem, as well as an identity card featuring the character's iconic pose, significantly enhancing their collectible value!
Additionally, two secret versions are included in this release. Based on their silhouettes, they appear to be Kamen Rider W's Fang Joker form and Kamen Rider KIVA's Emperor Form. As an editor who grew up watching Heisei Riders, I'm incredibly excited!
