Following the reveal of the prototype for the new "Mazinger Z" figure from Japanese toy brand Kaiyodo's highly articulated action figure series "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI (アメコミヤマグチ)", robot fans have been eagerly anticipating its release. Finally, the "Mazinger Z" (マジンガーZ) was officially announced today (12th)! It is scheduled for release in October 2025, with a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY.
The pioneer of Super Robot anime, the steel fortress that has been active since the 70s and whose popularity has never waned, awakens once again in the modern era with extraordinary articulation in the AMAZING YAMAGUCHI series! This figure stands approximately 15 cm tall and is crafted from composite materials such as PVC, ABS, POM, and iron. The overall design references the original anime settings, not only faithfully reproducing its simple yet powerful body lines but also incorporating AMAZING YAMAGUCHI's proud Revolver Joints. This allows collectors to pose it in incredibly dynamic, human-like stances, offering a "super-articulated" aspect rarely experienced with Mazinger Z alloy toys. Furthermore, the joints break away from tradition, utilizing a dedicated structure to maximize the playability of a robot figure.
Accessories include 8 interchangeable hands, 2 Iron Cutter parts, 2 Drill Missiles, 6 jet effect parts, the Jet Scrander with connection parts, and a display stand with 6 connection parts. The Jet Scrander can not only display its uncombined flight mode but also present its early and late-stage designs by swapping wings. Combined with various effect parts, you can recreate Mazinger Z's many classic special moves!
▼ From the official images, this figure boasts a beautiful and substantial metallic paint finish, and the joint details are incredibly intricate. We are extremely excited about the tactile experience of this "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI Mazinger Z" – what an exhilarating prospect!
▼ Purchases made at Kaiyodo's directly managed stores will also receive a special bonus: "Breast Fire Parts" (ブレストファイヤーパーツ) featuring exquisite gradient painting, depicting the heat emission state!
