In February, Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes (pictured below), known for "Skyfall" and "American Beauty," ambitiously announced his plans to direct a four-film biopic series on The Beatles. Each film will uniquely focus on a single member's perspective, with all four slated for release in the same year. After months of casting, this ambitious quadrilogy has reportedly finalized its four central leads.

The first confirmed cast member recently revealed is Paul Mescal, who just wrapped filming on "Gladiator II." During a recent Directors Guild of America panel with Christopher Nolan, "Gladiator II" director Ridley Scott inadvertently let slip that Mescal was set to begin filming a Beatles movie. Multiple sources indicate Mescal will portray Paul McCartney.

Another actor whose involvement was revealed by others is Barry Keoghan. Ringo Starr himself confirmed Keoghan's casting during an interview with "Entertainment Tonight," adding that Keoghan has already begun drum practice for the role. Today, entertainment outlet Deadline reported that Joseph Quinn will join the cast as George Harrison.

The final member of the quartet is Harris Dickinson, rumored to be playing John Lennon. When "Variety" magazine pressed Dickinson for confirmation yesterday, he offered a non-committal response, stating, "It would be amazing to be a part of it. Seeing this project with Sam is very exciting. Obviously, John Lennon is a very complex character, a formidable character. It would be cool to play. We'll see."

Keoghan, Quinn, Mescal, and Dickinson have all been circulating online as potential cast members for months. Now, the first three have largely been confirmed. Given Dickinson's neither-denying-nor-confirming tone, it appears he is also involved but not yet at liberty to publicly announce his participation.
