Kotobukiya, the Japanese model manufacturer, has announced a new product in its popular "Mecha Musume" (mechanical girl) plastic model kit series, "Frame Arms Girl Durga I
The prototype for Frame Arms Girl "Durga I" comes from the "NSG-Z0/E Durga I," a base defense unit belonging to the lunar base faction in Kotobukiya's "Frame Arms" plastic model kit series. After being bishōjo-fied by Eiji Komatsu, it inherits the heavy armor and spear-wielding design reminiscent of an "armored knight," while continuing the highly sensual girl body type, similar to Magatsuki, creating an even more appealing contrast.
This product combines the "M.S.G Heavy Weapon Unit 39 Cat Armor 01" accessory, designed by moi, the designer of the robot "JGSDF Type 07-III Tank NACCHIN," redesigning Durga I into an adorable pure white cat girl image. Both the main body and the cat armor parts are produced with new molding colors, and it can also be assembled into Durga I's original form and armament.
The Durga I main body features an excellent articulated joint design and includes multiple interchangeable hand parts and three pre-painted face parts. The clear armor parts are reproduced using purple clear parts, allowing the mechanical detail sculpting on the internal parts to show through. Both the cat arms and cat paws can be reproduced with or without claws by swapping parts. The cat tail is composed of four-axis articulated parts, allowing for dynamic swinging poses.
