Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON capsule toy division will release a new product under its popular "Sleeping Squad" (ねむらせ隊) series, featuring "Thomas & Friends" – the "Thomas & Friends Sleeping Squad" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 400 JPY per turn, and it is scheduled to launch in the fourth week of December 2024!
"Thomas & Friends" is a British children's television series that premiered in 1984. Initially animated using low-cost 1:32 scale physical models, it tells the adventure stories of anthropomorphic trains on the fictional island of Sodor. This "Thomas & Friends Sleeping Squad" series transforms Thomas and his friends into character models with their eyes closed, resting. It includes four types: Thomas, James, Percy, and Edward. The small-scale models feature detailed paintwork that recreates the trains' appearances, and each character's chimney has a translucent "ZZZ" symbol, representing sleep. Displayed side-by-side, they are incredibly cute! Come and rest with the popular trains from the Island of Sodor!
