BANDAI CANDY, the popular assembly model candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from its 'SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT' series, the 'Astranagant' from the video game "Super Robot Wars OG", slated for release in May 2025.
The highly popular original unit from the Super Robot Wars series, the 'Astranagant', first appeared in the "Super Robot Wars α" series. It is the signature mobile weapon of Ingram Prisken, captain of the PTX Team and the recruiter and trainer for the SRX Team. This ultimate humanoid mobile weapon was created by combining technology from Earth, other dimensions, and alien civilizations. The unit possesses the ability to freely transfer between different timelines and parallel worlds, along with formidable machine performance and combat capabilities. It even features the ultimate weapon, the "Infinity Cylinder", which can draw targets into superluminal time regression, causing their existence to vanish into nothingness.
The 'SMP Astranagant' features a main body molded in black and metallic red. The head and waist, where part separation is more challenging, are pre-painted in metallic red, allowing the kit to be completed without the need for stickers. Standing at an impressive height of approximately 31.5 cm, it thoroughly recreates the slender, elongated limbs, sharp head, and wing contours, as well as the small muzzle of the fixed weapon, the "Photon Vulcan", on its head.
The accessories include a wealth of weapons and effect parts. In addition to the handheld "Z.O. Sword", it comes with magnificent wing effect parts, effects and clear stands to recreate the firing state of 12 "T-LINK Feathers", two "Gun Familiars" with deployment mechanisms, and the special moves "Axion Cannon" and "Infinity Cylinder". Combined with the main body's flexible articulation, dynamic battle scenes can be recreated.
