Following the "GX-105 Mazinger Z KAKUMEI SHINKA" and "GX-105D Mazinger Z KAKUMEI SHINKA Damaged Ver.", the popular die-cast toy brand "Soul of Chogokin", released by BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, has once again announced the "GX-117 Mazinger Z (Enhanced Type) KAKUMEI SHINKA"! It is scheduled for release in June 2025, with a suggested retail price of 18,000 JPY.
The "Mazinger Z KAKUMEI SHINKA", a steel fortress making a grand reappearance in the Soul of Chogokin line, highlights "Revolutionary Evolution" (KAKUMEI SHINKA). Its biggest selling points are the newly structured hip joints and thighs that allow for natural kneeling poses, and a play mechanism that enables the launch of the "Rocket Punch" without the need for interchangeable parts.
This time, the GX-117 Enhanced Type focuses on recreating the late-stage anime settings, featuring newly sculpted head, arms, Pilder, Jet Scrander, and more. It is equipped with a variety of armaments, allowing for the depiction of the Iron Cutter (アイアンカッター), Drill Missiles (ドリルミサイル) launched from the elbows, and the Southern Cross Knife (サザンクロスナイフ) when firing large shurikens.

▼ The "Breast Missile" launch scene can be recreated by replacing the abdominal armor. It can be launched using a button on the back, and three missiles are included.
▼ The Jet Pilder (ジェットパイルダー), which replaced the Hover Pilder (ホバーパイルダー) in the later stages of the anime, features a transparent cockpit allowing Koji Kabuto to be seen inside. Its wings also recreate the deployment/storage mechanism and are equipped with a magnetic function to attach to the head of the GX-117 Mazinger Z (Enhanced Type) KAKUMEI SHINKA.
