The "V.F.G." series of Macross mecha girl plastic models, launched by Aoshima Bunka Kyozai's assembly model brand ACKS, has once again announced its latest product from Macross Delta, the "VF-31J Mikumo Guynemer," slated for release in May 2025.
"Variable Fighter Girl" is an assembly model product that combines the transformable fighters from the Macross series with an articulated female body, the "VF Girl." The fighter itself can replicate the three transformation stages seen in the anime, while the "VF Girl" body features excellent articulation and can be posed in various ways with interchangeable expressions, hands, and accessories. Both can be enjoyed individually, and through an original transformation mechanism, they can combine into a cool and cute mecha girl form.
The latest product, "Mikumo Guynemer," finally completes the assembly of all five members of the tactical sound unit "Walküre." The "VF Girl" articulated body features an original model design of a tight-fitting combat suit, and uses exclusive parts to recreate her distinct physique and two highly characteristic hairstyles, which differ from other members. Portions of the clothing and hair color blocks and lines are pre-painted, allowing for a high level of completion even with a straight build.
The body's articulation design is essentially the same as other members, offering a flexible range of motion. It also includes one pre-painted expression part and three expression parts that can be customized with water decals. Additionally, it comes with various accessories such as microphones, microphone stands, the official web program mascot "Chibi Walküre," and a drone-shaped display base, allowing for dynamic poses of her singing with full power on stage.
The "VF-31J Siegfried" fighter, paired with Mikumo, also features original light blue and dark purple color schemes and fuselage markings based on the original combat suit design. By swapping parts, it can replicate the three forms: FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID. The GERWALK form serves as a vehicle mode for Mikumo's body to ride, while the BATTROID form allows Mikumo to wear the VF-31J's transformed external armor, creating the model's original mecha girl form!
